Terms of Service

Last Updated: June 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VettedBuddy ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. VettedBuddy operates as a managed freelance talent network connecting vetted professionals ("Freelancers") with businesses ("Clients").

2. Description of Service

VettedBuddy is a managed matching and project management platform. We provide curation, introduction, and administrative services to facilitate engagements between Clients and Freelancers.

  • We pre-screen all Freelancers and Clients before granting platform access.
  • We act as the intermediary for payments and dispute resolution.
  • We do not act as an employer to any Freelancer on the platform.

3. Anti-Disintermediation Policy

Crucial Clause for Clients and Freelancers:

To protect the integrity of our matching service, Users agree that for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the time they are introduced to another User through the Platform, they shall use VettedBuddy as the exclusive method to request, make, and receive all payments for work directly or indirectly with that User.

Attempting to solicit, pay, or communicate with a matched User outside of the VettedBuddy platform to avoid platform fees is a material breach of these terms and will result in immediate account termination and a buyout fee of $5,000 USD.

4. Account Registration & Vetting

All accounts are subject to manual review. We reserve the right to reject any application for any reason. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate.

5. Payments & Escrow

Clients agree to pay invoices generated through the Platform within the stipulated net terms. All funds are held in a secure escrow partner account until the agreed-upon milestones are met. Freelancers will receive payouts subject to the successful completion of the milestones and deduction of the VettedBuddy Success Fee.

6. Limitation of Liability

VettedBuddy is not a party to the independent contractor agreements between Clients and Freelancers. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of the services delivered by Freelancers, nor the ability of Clients to pay for such services.
